Running: It's actually more expensive than therapy
A 58 mile week with a 16 miler long run
A few weeks into the new training plan with Hanson's Marathon Method 5k training and here's how it went.
Sunday speedwork with 7 X 1K sprints at 10k pace with warm up/cool down for a total of 10 miles.
Overall it felt pretty good and easier than expected.
4 Mile tempo run plus warm up/cool down for a total of 8 miles
Easy 6 with strides
16 miler long run with the second half faster than the first
This was the longest run I've ever done. It really was a fun challenge because these are my favorite type of runs. It was very hot and humid outside, and I believe that made it even more challenging.
Weekly Mileage Total
Overall it was a successful week and next week looks pretty similar and should be good as well. I feel myself gaining speed and also endurance. I really miss racing though I can't wait to get back into it when the season starts up again.
